In 1995 General Cigar offered a highly limited edition smoke to commemorate the 150 years Partagas cigars have been in production- the Partagas 150. Approximately ten years later, using the same sought after 1977 vintage Cameroon wrapper, they started the Partagas 160 Signature Series. These very desired beauties are Cigar Master Daniel Nuñez’s tribute to the special legacy of his mentor, the legendary Ramón Cifuentes. Blended with Mexican San Andres filler tobaccos and Dominican Piloto Cubano, these cigars have been selected and sorted through three times to intensify the flavors of the tobacco. The result is a cigar connoisseur’s dream; a medium bodied, perfectly-balanced, intensly rich and creamy smoke. Due to the limited availability of this tobacco, these special cigars will never be issued again.
The Partagas 160 Signature Series is a special cigar. They were made to celebrate the 160th year that the Partags Brand has been in production. Celebrating 160 year may be special, but what really makes this cigar special is the wrapper. The Partagas 160 uses an extremely rare 1977 vintage Cameroon leaf. Using a cigar leaf with that much age on it can guarantee 2 things. 1.) It will be a fantastic cigar, and 2.) there won't be a lot of them made.
This extremely rare gift from Partagas were released in celebration of their 160th anniversary. Using vintage tobaccos aged over 30 years, Partagas 160 Signature Series is one of the finest blends you can get your hands on. Using a Cameroon wrapper leaf cultivated in 1977, this is a cigar to be treasured.
